Sean Broderick, Founder & Principal
As MKD Strategic’s founder, Sean works directly with clients to develop and execute customized marketing and PR plans and oversees all campaign strategy.
He has spent more than two decades creating content—from advertising copy to news articles—often as part of carefully constructed marketing and public relations plans.
Sean brings a trained journalist’s eye to public relations, providing valuable perspective on how to create compelling stories and get them published. He’s equally adept at marketing strategy and brand development, combining real-world experience as a member of an award-winning full-service marketing agency with the relevance of a master’s degree in Integrated Marketing Communications (West Virginia University, 2013).
Sean has experience in a variety of industries, but has specific expertise in associations/non-profit organizations, aerospace, property development, and financial services.
Lily Rose, Vice President — Accounts
Lily combines a strategist’s keen insight with a client services expert’s ability to manage relationships and maximize opportunities for her clients.
As the top client manager for a full-service marketing agency, she managed the firm’s largest accounts and played a key role in planning and expanding a signature annual festival from the ground up, helping create an event that draws more than 8,000 people and 150 vendors.
As MKD Strategic’s VP-Accounts, she is the primary contact for the majority of our clients. She also helps create and execute marketing and media plans, manages special events, plans and manages social media campaigns, and writes content.
A trained chef, Lily’s industry expertise includes restaurant/hospitality, property development, financial services, and private secondary schools.
Christi Rich, Events Specialist
Christi has more a decade of experience in strategic U.S. and international event planning. She has played a central role in building the Vint Hill Fall Festival from a concept to an annual tradition that draws thousands of visitors and attracts nearly 200 vendors.
Christi has planned more than 450 events in her career, acquiring a wealth of event management knowledge via strategic event planning, creative event design, and execution for clients in the private sector, non-profit world, and governments as well.
Christi’s unique training, experience, aesthetics, taste and personality distinguishes her among other event planners in the arena. Known for planning luxury events designed to offer experiences not easily found elsewhere, Christi is dedicated to planning with a personalized approach leaving no detail overlooked.
Prior to striking out on her own, Christi planned events for leading corporate, non-profit, education and government organizations, including ExxonMobil, the Smithsonian Institution, Georgetown University, and Sage Communications. Her extensive portfolio spans highly customized multi-day special events, galas, conferences, meetings, festivals, team building excursions, exclusive dinners, VIP events, fashion experiences, and receptions.
She’s planned events at every museum on the National Mall, at the National Zoo, and at dozens of high-end venues around Northern Virginia. Guest lists for these events included members of the top levels of U.S government, members of Congress, international heads of state, and international royalty, requiring knowledge of protocol.
Christi has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, and a Master of Tourism Administration with a concentration in Event Management from The George Washington University.
